RWH events during Alternative World Water Forum FAME 2005

IRHA was a part of the organising committee of the 2nd Alternative World Water Forum in Geneva from the very beginning and participated in all decision making.

IRHA was also a volunteer member of the operational bureau. During the 2005 Forum itself, IRHA ran full day side event held on 19th March, including a workshop entitled "Rainwater Harvesting - a forgotten option in development plans".

Margarita Pacheco moderated this session and two eminent rainwater harvesters were invited to share their experiences: Mesfin Schenkut from Ethiopia and Rajendra Sign from India.
