Technologies

Promotion of local knowledge and exchange of experiences 

One of the main objectives of the IRHA is to serve as a platform for its members, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and scaling up good practices in the large field of rainwater harvesting. Domestic or productive use, agriculture or groundwater recharge, every field can be improved due to the imagination and the work of man.

Here we are giving the floor to you. Please send us what you consider a successful experience. Give us an overview of the new technology which has improved the established concepts and schemes. Send us photos and description of the process and share your joy and satisfaction worldwide.

1. The IRHA new member, the Professional Assistance for Development Action PRADAN organization proposes a scope on the Jaldhar Model of in situ rain water conservation

2. The IRHA member, PLANET Kerala, is an NGO, a network of the participatory development practitioners from Kerala State, India. Here they are exposing three different technologies, which have been successfully applied in this Southern region of India:

Our colleague Mr. Jit Sehgal was kind to send us the paper which he had presented to the  4th International Conference on Sustainable Water Environment, Innovative Technologies and Energy Efficient Solutions" organized by Environment Engineering Society of Singapore jointly with Singapore Polytechnic. The Conference was held on 17-18 Nov, 2008. We are publishing it on our site, (under the) on condition that the author shall not be held liable for any loss that may occur from the use of the information contained in it.
