Participation in CDS 13 in New York

Two IRHA Secretariat members took part in the Commission for Sustainable Development 13 in New York in April 2005.

The interventions made by Margarita Pacheco, together with an article written by her and Vessela Monta published in the CSD 13 news letter gave RWH a higher profile.

With the policy work done by the "Fresh Water Caucus" and the support of representatives from different country delegations a positive result was achieved.

In the final CSD 13 document RWH was maintained in the text as a low cost alternative means for attaining the MDGs.
