CATEGORIES OF MEMBERSHIP
The
Organisation Membership is addressed to: regional RWH networks and
national RWH associations; NGOs and CSOs active in the environment or
water resources fields, supporting or implementing RWH activities;
development or humanitarian relief agencies and organisations involved
in RWH or other water resources management activities; other
organisations supporting RWH; professional bodies (private companies or
associations) working in the water and environment sector.
A
Member Organisation shall be a recognised user or supporter of the
theories, concepts and practices of RWH. A Member Organisation may also
be any organisation allied to the user or supporter of the theories,
concepts and practices of RWH or part of a special interest group
who’s membership, in the view of the Steering Committee would
further the aims of IRHA in line with its constitution.
Government
bodies (water, natural resources, energy, health, agriculture,
development or foreign ministries); authorities engaged in the
environment, water, agriculture or other, at local or regional levels;
UN agencies; government donors countries; international financial
institutions; universities; private and institutional donors∗
could all be accepted as Institutional Members of the Alliance.
This
category of membership is for institutions acknowledging IRHA’s
work in the field of rainwater management to increase access to water,
preserve natural resources and energy, improve health, boost
agricultural yields or promote sustainable development. These members
will support institutionally IRHA’s actions and will contribute
to the growing momentum of the worldwide RWH movement.
By
becoming Institutional Members of the Alliance, these institutions
demonstrate their commitment to develop RWH within IWRM and to support
IRHA members RWH activities action in their different regions.
Individual Members could be:
•
People involved in RWH by implementing it on their own buildings or
land and who are interested in disseminating their experiences;
•
Researchers and professors from different technical schools, university
departments, scientific institutions, etc., professionally involved in
the RWH field.
• Students of Development, Hydrology,
Agriculture and others subjects, who will be professionally involved of
solving problems of access to water;
• All other people interested in the field of RWH.
Individual Members will be entitled:
IRHA’s
RWH Friend Membership provides a mechanism for those members concerned
abou the water needs in the world who would like to make an optional
contribution. The benefits in this category are the same as the
equivalent standard membership. The premium fee could either go to IRHA
regional and national activities in a part of the world selected by the
RWH Friend or will be attributed to core budget costs.the world

Renowned
personalities who have greatly contributed to the promotion of RWH
could be invited to be Members of Honour of the Alliance.
It
will be an honour for IRHA to bestow this title to people who have
given their knowledge and energy to elevate and reinforce the RWH
movement. No more than one eminent person per year will be invited to
become Member of Honour.

Goodwill Ambassador Membership
|
Well-known personalities from the policy, scientific or cultural fields who will help the
promotion of rainwater use and management, helping this way IRHA work, will be nominated as IRHA Goodwill Ambassadors.
