Blue Schools Programme
In 2005, the IRHA initiated a new programme that aims to enhance the development and improvement of living conditions in schools with no access to safe water or decent sanitation facilities. The ruinous state of most of these installations does not allow even a basic level of hygiene. The IRHA Secretariat has taken upon itself the objective of creating a chain of schools called Blue Schools. The aim of this programme is not only to ensure wholesome conditions within schools to improve the health and dignity of children, but also to create a setting to bring up a new generation, sensitive to environmental issues.
The IRHA works mainly, but not exclusively, on projects following this programme.
Here we are presenting the Blue Schools projects which have been already completed, or are ongoing.

Other Rainwater Harvesting Projects
The IRHA is also working on projects aiming to improve water access in villages, households or public institutions. Another main part of its activities is to encourage the aquifer recharge in regions where underground level is decreasing.
Here we are presenting the RWH projects which have been already completed, or are ongoing.
