 Rainwater Harvesting in Bangladesh

May 2002 Introduction
Rainwater has been harvested in Bangladesh from time immemorial.
Traditional rainwater collection was very simple and was usually done by tying an old saree or a sheet to four posts in the yard and collecting the water in a traditional earthenware pot, a Motka.
